Clairemont Service Center

The Rappahannock location in Clairemont serves low-income families by providing emergency food, clothing, assistance with obtaining ID cards, bus tokens for transportation to doctor appointments and job interviews, and referrals to other services.  Some resource counseling is also available.  Client service hours are M-F 9;30-4.

This center is a distribution site for USDA Commodity Foods, holding an active application with the San Diego Food Bank. Each month, CCSA distributes USDA Commodity Foods to about 1,000 individuals on the fourth Thursday of the month.

MORE VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED AT THE FOLLOWING TIMES. Critical needs are in bold.

Tues and Fri am – receive and pack donations (moderately heavy lifting may occur)

Food Room -Wed am, Th am, Th pm and Fr p.m.

Clothing Room -Tues pm, Wed am, Wed pm, Fri am, and Fri pm

Intake Desk – Wed pm, Th am, Th pm, Fri pm

Donated goods may be delivered during client service hours.  Large quantities of goods and any items you need help in moving should be delivered during the morning hours when volunteers are available to assist you to carrying the items.
