The agency has several special events during the year. We are currently sponsoring the Back to School Program.
Each year, CCSA assists low-income children with backpacks and essential school supplies. This year, we hope to distribute 200+ backpacks to children in grades K – 9 and we need your help!
CCSA will distribute backpacks through its daily emergency services program at the Clairemont Service Center during the period of Monday, August 7 thru Wednesday, August 30, 2017.
We are asking that each of our member churches join us in this effort by agreeing to provide fully packed backpacks to be distributed. A list of age appropriate supplies to be included in the backpacks is available to help our supporters meet the needs of the children we will be serving. Please identify the number of backpacks, and the grade level, i.e. (K – 2nd) or (3rd – 9th), that your church will be providing.
July 2017 has been designated as the time for collection of donations of packed backpacks for this year’s program. Backpacks should be delivered to the Clairemont Service Center, located at 4167 Rappahannock Avenue SD 92117, between 8:00am to 4:00pm from Monday, July 10 thru Friday, August 11, 2017. If you deliver 8:00-9:30am, please call 858-274-2273 to let the staff know you are coming as the gate is locked until 9:30am.
