CCSA supporters put forth tremendous efforts each year through a variety of holiday programs to brighten the holidays for those less fortunate. These special programs rely completely on the generosity of our supporters and give them an opportunity to participate at the level of their choice. Our annual holiday programs are: “Adopt-A-Family” Program, “Christmas Meal” Basket Program, and “Christmas for the Homeless”. Below is a description for each program and a link to that specific program for sponsors to view complete program information as well as contact details for each program’s coordinator. We look forward to your support and sharing a joyous Christmas Season with you!
“Adopt-A-Family” Program- Families and their children are adopted at Christmas by sponsors from our member churches, local businesses, and individuals from the community. Each holiday season, families in need receive the gift of Christmas that they may have otherwise gone without. CCSA supporters ensure that families adopted in the program will receive a family gift basket. The gift basket will have non-perishable food for Christmas dinner along with a food store gift card for perishables. Sponsors may also include a gift card(s) for stores or entertainment options.
“Christmas Meal” Basket Program An opportunity to design and create a Christmas Meal Basket for a needy family at Christmas time! The basket, filled with non-perishable foods, should be prepared to feed 4-6 people. The completed baskets are distributed to families just before Christmas.
“Christmas for the Homeless” The Joyce Snyder Center offers a “gift bag” to the homeless filled with essential items such as cold weather gloves, knit hats, and stamped Christmas cards for recipients to send to their loved ones. CCSA’s dedicated volunteers prepare these special bags which are given away the week before Christmas.
